First 2nd Semester Lead Project- AHS Basketball Tournament

I am partnering up with Mohamed Hersi and we are conducting a basketball tournament at the school. The game is going to be Half-full court (so from sideline to sideline instead of baseline to baseline). Each team will have 4 people, and one of the four people are the Team Captain, the Team Captain's job is to make sure that they answer any text or call from me or Mohamed and let their team know when they are scheduled to have a game. Every game will be played during lunch(guaranteed). Some games, if we need to speed up the tournament will be played during Intramurals club (if we get permission from the office and the creator of Intramurals Club). So if you are interested in being a Team Captain come and talk to either me or Mohamed and we will be happy to let you fill out a roster sheet.

How the Tournament Will Work
So the tournament is single elimination, or if their isn't that many participating teams then we will have double elimination. All four players will be playing on the court at one time, you will get 10-15 minutes to play your games, straight up NBA rules, Mohamed and I will be the ones reffing the games unless we have some volunteers that would like to come and help out! After that it is anybodys game! We are allowing players to shoot their free throws if they get fouled more rules and how the tournament will be posted as soon as we get closer to tournament time!

Project Start Time

We will start our tournament ASAP as soon as the brackets fill up, and we should be wrapping up the tournament approximently 2 weeks after the start of it.

Things That Might Interfere With A Successful Project

The only way this project will not become successful is if the times in which we tell the teams to play do not carry out, if their isnt enough teams to fill out all the brackets and if the rules are not being carried out in a manner in which the school finds appropriate

Let me know if you have any questions or comments and just leave it in the comment box below!

Thank you!
